Wow! Congratulations to all the girls who competed in the Essex Grades this June. All the girls passed with distinction, and we scooped 3 medal places! Well done girls, and thanks to all their coaches for their hard work. Pictures on photo gallery.

Show Case Weekend 2017

Takes place on Saturday, 15, and Sunday, 16 July.  See posters around the gym for details.

Show Case Weekend

Our first ever Showcase of Squad performance was introduced in July 2015, and has become an annual event.  During the weekend, parents are invited to watch our squad gymnasts show what they can do, whether it be Competition routines, Ballet, Dance or general gymnastic moves.  A huge thank you to coach Sarah and her assistants for putting in so much time and effort in the planning and arrangements for these weekends, in making them as perfect as we could hope for.  We are now planning for 2017!

A few photos from the day in July 2015!

London Festival of Gymnastics

Huge success at The London Festival held at The Brentwood Centre by our display team.  We had a lot of praise from others.  Thank you to all the girls for your hard work and dedication.  Video to follow .....

 Gym Fusion 2014

Julie's group took part in their first Gym Fusion event in Redbridge on 27 April.  As well as thoroughly enjoying the event, they performed brilliantly and certainly shone above many more experienced teams.  If you want to watch the routine then CLICK ON THIS LINK.

Official Opening Day - 1 July 2012

The club celebrated its official opening on 1 July 2012 with the purple (what else) ribbon being cut by the Mayor of Chelmsford, Cllr Christopher Kingsley.  Prior to the ceremony, the Mayor and other dignitaries from Chelmsford City Council, BGA and Essex Gymnastics joined a large audience to watch the girls putting on a display across all the different pieces of equipment to show what they can do, and an excellent job they did too!

The Big Move 2012

Over the weekend of 21/22 April 2012 the gym club moved to a purpose built gymnastics centre.  This was the realisation of a long term ambition of the club, and we are grateful to all those parents and coaches who have given up their time and money to contribute to getting the new centre up and running.  Well done everyone!

Comic Relief Mile 2012

Well done to the Robb's and the Joslin's for taking part in this years Comic Relief Mile in central park. Little Calum managed a mile (pre-school) whilst Scarlett, Esme and Sophie managed 6! well done to all our gymnasts, you did us proud!

Fundraising Abseil

Congratulations to julie and Mikki for completing the 110ft abseil down the Harlow Water Tower on 2nd May 2010. Apparently they weren't scared (!) but Julie can be seen drinking a large glass of bacardi after the event so I'm not sure whether to believe her or not! Could everyone who sponsored them please get their monies in asap. Pictures on photo gallery.

Sport Relief 2010

Well done everyone for taking part in this year's event on a lovely sunny day in central park. Scarlett, Sophie, Kiera and Louise all did an amazing 6 miles without even being out of breath, whilst Esme, Claudia, Yasmin and Louis (and most of the mum's) managed 3miles! Well done everyone for taking part - we looked gorgeous in our tutus! Check out the picture in our photo gallery.

Display at Chelmsford Sports and Athletics Stadium

On Sunday 12th July, we were asked to take part in the Family Fun Day organised by Chelmsford Borough Council. This gave local people a chance to try a whole host of different sports. The squad and pre-school group gave 3 displays throughout the day, and our pre-school equipment was enjoyed by all throughout the event. Photos on the gallery page!

Great Fete!

On Sat 27th June the display team performed at Newlands Spring Primary School Fete. Rain had been threatening but everything stayed fine and dry for the display, in fact the girls were in danger of burning their feet on the mats as they got so hot! Everyone performed brilliantly and they were a very popular attraction at the fete.

Thanks to everyone concerned on behalf of the Friends of Newlands Spring School.
