Recreational gymnasts who are showing potential are invited to join the Development Squad who train as follows:

Wednesday 5.30pm 8.00pm
Thursday 5.30pm 8.00pm
Saturday 1.30pm 5.30pm
Sunday 9.00am 12.00pm
or 12.00pm 2.00pm

This development squad is grouped according to age and ability and comprises the progression, pre-elite and elite squads.  We test the squad gymnasts periodically to see if they are ready to move up a group.  These gymnasts all enter County and Regional competitions, from which they get the chance to be selected for the County and National squads.

Members of the Pre Elite, Junior and Senior groups have competed in regional competitions and also have been members of the Essex County Squad.  In 2007 we had several Essex champions from the Junior and Senior Groups.  In 2008 members of the Junior and Senior squad came 3rd in the Essex County Teams Level 4 competition and 4th in the Level 3 competition.
