Welcome to Chelmsford Gymnastics Club.

Chelmsford Gymnastics Club is the only dedicated facility in Chelmsford to offer gymnastics to all, be that children, young people or adults. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable facility with the ability to offer support to students with disabilities. Our proudest achievement is being home to our British Disability Champions Nicole and Tayla.

We are committed to ensuring we provide a safe, fun and engaging environment for all to thrive and develop themselves within our wonderful sport of gymnastics.

All of our team are DBS checked, First Aid trained and are qualified within the British Gymnastics coaching pathway. We also offer the Core Proficiency badge system for our recreational gymnasts to work towards developing their core foundations within the sport. As well as our core facility we also have satellite clubs within schools in Chelmsford to further promote gymnastics within our community.

At Chelmsford Gymnastics Club our Core values are important to us and help guide us in what we offer:

  • Creating a positive environment for all
  • Helping all children to reach their potential
  • Creating an opportunity for all to flourish and develop
  • Nurturing our gymnasts and coaches to the best they can be

Adult Gymnastics

Adult gymnastics sessions are now back!

We currently require spaces to be booked in advance. This allows us to accurately control the number of users in the gym and ensures we can contact attendees if necessary.

Early booking is appreciated and ensures you can a get space. However, we understand some users will not know if they can attend until the day. We therefore allow booking right up to the session.

Clean Gym

The gym has undergone extensive cleaning prior to our reopening. This includes the walls! The safe water-based paint the handprints use, simply washes off.

We decided cleanliness is the highest priority and have cleaned the walls. We’ve also used the opportunity to give the gym a fresh coat of paint.

All handprints have been recorded and photographed. Anyone who had a handprint will be allowed to redo their print for free.

New prints will all be on one wall by the trampoline, making future cleaning easier.

Staying Safe

Guidelines from British Gymnastics stipulate that gymnasts must have their own chalk. This is to avoid the use of communal chalk bowls.

The chalk we use in the gym is available to purchase from our webstore. If you intend to purchase from another source, please ensure it is pure, super dry and non-clumping.
